Answer: Male cuttlefish outnumber females, making for fierce competition. Males battle for females, so the smaller males wouldn't stand a chance. Instead they use sexual mimicry, physically changing their color and pattern. To avoid attracting the attention of larger males, and simultaneously attract a female, they exhibit male coloring on the side of their body facing the female, and female coloring on the side facing the larger males.

Bring your friends or significant otters to a Valentine's Trivia at the Zoo! Love is in the air...and the soil, and the water and all sorts of places where animals live. Come test your knowledge on how animals find their partners and meet a few animals that you'll fall in love with. Join us for a fun-filled evening of animal and Valentine's day themed trivia at the Henry Vilas Zoo!  

Snacks provided. Please eat dinner before you arrive. 

This is a non-alcoholic event for adults age 18+.
