This Spring Break Zoo Camp is geared toward campers 6 to 9 years old and is based in the Frog Pond Classroom. Campers enjoy daily animal experiences or behind-the-scenes opportunities while facing scientific challenges that put the campers in the shoes of keepers, vets, or zoo administrators and motivate campers to seek the information to solve real-life problems. Campers leave Zoo Camp with a greater awareness for the individual animals at the zoo and how to help animals in the wild, all while building their science skills and making new friends.
Home Sweet Habitat
Everything needs a home! In this camp we will find out what makes up a habitat and all the different pieces that work together to create the cozy (...or not so cozy) places animals call home. Throughout the week we will learn all about how water impacts ecosystems, what does the air and the elements have to do with animals, how animals can find shelter even in the roughest of habitats, and how animals use their space. So relax, and make yourself at home, in this habitat themed week of camp!
Camp drop off is from 8:00 to 8:30 am. Camp activities are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Pick up is from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
