Preschool Pride 

The Nose Knows: Animals have all sorts of super sniffers, and we will learn all about them as we sniff out more information about animals' sense of smell.

Like a lion pride that cares for a group of cubs, we are excited to spend some time with you and your little one!

This class is for 2-4 year olds and their adult. Our classes are student led and designed to help them discover and learn through play. In each class we will sing our preschool song, read a story, have play and exploration time then learn about an animal at the zoo. 

We acknowledge that in early childhood, the empathy children feel for animals is best nurtured through play. Children learn the most when they have options when it comes to activities they want to participate in. We encourage you to follow your child’s lead and join in the child-directed play.

Our classes start before the rest of the zoo is open, so our instructor will meet you at Gate 8, which is located behind the Discovery center across from Vilas Beach.  This gate is normally locked. Please do your best to arrive on time so we can be there to open the gate. If you are more than 5 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate you.
