Coffee with the Critters: Tortoises

8:00 to 9:30 am

Join us before the zoo opens to the public for Coffee with the Critters: Tortoises!

After coffee and a light breakfast, learn about the multiple tortoise species we have living at HVZ. Then head to the Herpetarium for an up-close, behind the scenes encounter with our 500 lb giant Aldabra tortoises, Ricky and Tom, and learn how keepers take care of them every day. It will be a turtle-riffic time!

Our light breakfast includes: a sliced fruit platter, an assortment of breakfast breads, pastries, muffins and donuts, overnight oats, avocado toast, coffee, orange juice, and infused water.

Coffee with the Critters programs are appropriate for 5 and up.

Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Every person attending (child or adult) needs to be registered. Pre-registration required.

 Adults and children must both register and pay. This is not drop off program. You must register with your child to participate.
